A Day in the Life: My Journey as a LevelUp Student

Learning to Speak English: My Class Trip Experience

Hello to all! I am a student from Germany and before my trip with LevelUp English, I was very nervous because my English is not so good. But now, I feel much better, and I want to share why.

In the beginning, I was very afraid to speak. I thought, "What if I make a mistake? What if people laugh?" This thinking made me silent. But then, something clicked in my head. I realised that making mistakes is not the end of the world. It is, how we say in German, "der Weg zum Erfolg" (the way to success).

On the trip, our teachers and the native speakers told us this many times. They said, "Don't worry, just try!"

During the trip, we had many such small victories. We talked a lot, played games, and even wrote small texts in English. Our trainers encouraged us to write down our experiences, even if we made many mistakes. They told us, "Practice is the best teacher." And they were right.

By the end of the trip, I felt much more confident. I understood that speaking and writing in English is like riding a bicycle. You must practice, fall down, and get back up again. Every time you try, you get better. And the mistakes? They are just like small stones on the road. You can stumble, but you keep moving forward.

Now, I am not so afraid of English anymore. I know my English is not perfect, but I am learning, and that is what matters. This trip showed me that confidence is key, and making mistakes is okay. After all, it is "Teil des Lernens" (part of learning). So, if you are also afraid to speak a new language, I say, "Just try it!" You might be surprised at how much you can do.

Thank you for reading my story. I hope it helps you feel brave in your own learning journey.

Tschüss! (Bye!)

Lina
